Math Aptitude Tests

A math aptitude test is not a real aptitude test. Aptitude measures your ability to learn. Tests currently being labeled as math aptitude tests are really math assessment tests. They measure your knowledge of mathematics, not your ability to learn it.

Many employers utilize what they call math aptitude tests. You can expect this type of test if you’re applying for a job that involves handling money, financial data, customer accounts, billing, or receivables. If your math skills aren’t the best, don’t stress too much. Most math aptitude tests assess your knowledge of common mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percents, and decimals. It’s rare to find geometry or algebra on a math aptitude test for employment.
